Can anyone recommend a chiropractor in los angeles/california who will accept medi- cal- same for acupuncture?
i have a degenerative issue with my spine that needs to seriously be addressed by a professional chiropractor. unfortunately i am unemployed and disable and only covered by medi cal. it is difficult finding any kind of healthcare with such limited insurance, and even more frustrating that my health issues have progressed declined because i haven't been able to find anyone who will treat me, in spite of their diagnosis that I need serious help due to most providers not accepting medi cal. If anyone knows of a good professional compassionate chiropractor, and or acupuncturist because I need to get some acupuncture treatment as well that accepts medi cal and or may even take on pro bono cases could you please let me know with any referrals suggestions? Thank you Very much in pain and would like to restore my health so I can work again
Has anyone here tried acupuncture for their dogs?
Situation is a 5 year old Yorkie who has been diagnosed with and operated on for patellar luxation $1500 , only to heal and then find out she also has a degenerative spinal disorder. Surgery is $3000 4000 and no guarantees. It's been 3 years since she was pain free, the last 18 months has been due to spine, not her knees. She has been on cortisone pills for 15 months, starting with a low dose of half a pill every 2 days up to now 1 2 pills daily as needed. Some days she cannot walk at all and others she drags her butt and can get around to a point. Occasionally she has a good day and while never playful she can enjoy a stroll around the yard. No one can touch her anywhere but her head, she starts screaming from pain or fear of pain.Vet brought up acupuncture and it's something we're looking into but would like to know if anyone has experience with this, either with their dog or even personally. Does acupuncture really work? If you've went this route with your dog, how did they react to the needles? How many treatments were needed? Has it been an ongoing process?
If acupuncture really works as as it's claimed......?
.....what effect should it have had on these devout Hindus?flickr.com photos burryport 4005756169 in set 72157603819574320 flickr.com photos burryport 4436839198 in set 72157603819574320 flickr.com photos burryport 4859936328 in set 72157603819574320 Wouldn't have qualified as an overdose?Michelle, the priciple of acupuncure supposedly originated during skirmishes with Chinese soldiers, when their flesh was pierced by enemy arrows, which alledgedly took awa the pain from previous injuries, surely the same thing applies here, you can see quite clearly where the skin is pierced, if you look at your acupuncture chart I would assume you could tell me what effect it should have had, which is the whole point of my quite serious question.Your right dbobo, it is a religious ceremony called Thaipusam, this is their way of atoning for their sins, a sort of extreme 'sackcloth and ashes', please read my previous note, the whole system started with such arrows, so this should have some effect.I'm pleased acupuncture worked for you, if it worked for everything that it's claimed, all our hospitals could close down.
Do you believe that acupuncture works?
Do you believe that it can help treat a number of conditions such as migraines, post operative pain, menstrual cramps, asthma and nausea?
Why isn't acupuncture used more widely in the U.S.?
I have found it very successful in identifying and treating chronic, long term stress. My brother messed up both shoulders lifting weights. One was restored to good condition after a lot of painful Western treatments and $10K in insurance money. He had the other recover as much after only 2 painless acupuncture treatments.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov bookshelf br.fcgi?book altrehab& part A1489ncbi.nlm.nih.gov pubmed 15135942ninds.nih.gov disorders chronic pain chronic pain.htm
MY arms ache when it is exposed to cold weather. can acupuncture help?
I went back to the gym last June and regularly did my my usual routine. Cardio and weight lifts. then I experienced aching of my elbows and arms. I guess I might have overdone it caused there was some swelling at the muscles near the elbow. The swelling has gone but there is that persistent ache that comes and goes whenever my arms are exposed to cold weather, airconditioning etc. Have tried muscle relaxants but have stopped cause it does not help. Also did the pain relievers but stopped since it just still aches. Do I have arthritis? Also can acupuncture help? I dont want to be like this and not find a cure.
How can I get licensed as an animal acupuncturist, if I'm already licensed for human acupuncture?
I have done a lot of research on this topic, and the general answer that I get back is that I must first be a DVM. This sounds backwards to me, since I have a Master's in TCM and am licensed for human acupuncture. This seems to be state specific as well, so please name the state you have in mind. Thanks
Acupuncture question!?
Please only respond if you know about acupuncture and aren't just going to give a ignorant response. Does anyone know what the Triple warmer 2 point is related to health condition wise? My right ring finger has been feeling a nagging pain like it needs to be pulled on.
