Question: Is two or three acupuncture treatments effective?

I have chronic neck pain in my neck and severe muscle spams in my neck too. My doctor said i could try like 2 treatments of acupuncture and if by the 2nd treatment it doesn't work then stop. My insurance doesn't cover it so, i want to know if paying for 2 treatments is even worth if i'm going to need more treatments to see improvement? Does anyone know? Thanks! I've had the pain for a little more than a year now. And tried 3 different physical Therapies, facet joint block, and 3 epideral injections. And none of those worked.

It could be or it couldn't be. I had chronic shoulder/ back pain.. and acupuncture never helped. I went to 10 sessions and got no results. But I would go atleast 3 or 4 because if it does work, it won't work immediately. It takes time.
