How to convince my parents to let me home schooled?
Heres the deal My mom finally found a job in nevada which was a miracle because the jobs here are doing horribly. My dad went to Utah because he found a job. I want to be home schooled because I know that Public School is just not for me.. I have my reasons. Can I be home schooled on a online website? Like k12.com or something? Do my parents have to be with me at all times? Can I do the lessons by myself?Thank you so much if you took the time to read this and maybe answer Any tips on convincing? How do i make friends when I'm home schooled?
I'm 15 and i have no friends, i have really bad social anxiety just talking to randoms is awkward for me. Everyone says join a club or a sports team, but where i live in Australia there is nothing like that. I think I'm going to be friendless and lonely forever, it sucks. Any Advice?

Hi, Im a 14 year old who desperately wants to get home schooled because I'm disappointed in the school that I'm going to. But my parents insist that I stay in school so I won't become an " invert" , but it's sort of like they don't understand what I'm trying to say to them. I suffer from depression and I think that school just makes me feel so terrible. Home schooling is quitting school but you can still get the education I've researched a lot online for home schooling and I decided on kestoneschoolonline.com I can't go back to my school because if I do. . . I don't know what'll happen to me. They always object and won't even consider the matter but I desperately want it. I've been bullied a lot in school throughout my entire life, and it hurts me because it seems as though my parents don't understand me and they always tell me to " suck it up" or " just pay attention to your studies" but I can't, My dad doesn't want me to become anti social but it's not like I will. I know school is starting in two weeks but the thought of going back to that school is making me sick with grief and anger. I want to be a doctor and I'm home schooled please help me!?
Ok so I'm 15 years old and I want to be a doctor. I'm home schooled. not by choice Last year I did Christan Light House Academy. But my mom doesn't want to use that curriculum this year. I don't blame her is was kinda dumb, and really expensive I was in the tenth grade. So this year for schooling she is going to have me watch these great famous professors give lectures... It's all great but I really don't want to have to take my GED when i turn 18. Could i still take my SATs? I hate to say, it but I've kind of been unschooled all my life. I'm not stupid though. I LOVE to read. And am willing to do all that it takes to get into med school and college. I'm NOT a slacker. Not to sound arrogant but I know that I would do well in college. And when I do go to college I am NOT going to take the summer off I think that's a waste of time. I want to have my bachelors if two years. All of my relatives went to Harvard. I just need to know what I should be doing right now I mean it's pathetic most kids my age already know what college they're going to. My dream would be to go to Harvard. PLEASE help me Like I said just tell me what I should be doing for this schooling year.Thank you so much in advance

Well.Im 13 in the 6th grade and I was suppose to go live with my dad and sister's in oregon for a couple of year and was suppose to leave next week but found out that we couldn't go out there till december n I was all like..what the...Soo Im mad and since I only have about 4 months left here till I leave I said to my self...Why not be home school.And im not talking about hiring a teacher to come to my house and help me out or anything.Im talking about learning online.See..I found this website that teaches you everything that hey taught at my school except at school I wasn't really paying attention.Its IMX.com But seriously dude im like..a little fat and going schools in L.A.Do you really think I'll survive? Hi, i live in arkansas and i'm filling out my " notice of intent" for the first time.in arkansas, grades, 3 9th have to take standeralized testing at the end of each year. Heres the form arkansased.org about pdf schools hs waiver intent 10 11 051810.pdfmy question is on the bottom of the first page, next to last collom is says " permanently exempt from home schooled testing grades 3 9 per home school test coordinator please check box" Can someone tell me what this means? thanksss

I really hate going to school so i really want to be home schooled. I'm 11 years old and i asked my dad if he can home school me and my brother and he said he would love to and i really want it to happen. But i have no clue how it works out. Home schooling and G.E.D questions.?
I'm 16 and the last grade I completed was the 6th. I never went to high school or anything, and no it's not because I have kids, we just couldn't get me into home schooling. Now I am wondering since I am suppose to be in the 10th grade this year, could I do home schooling and do the tenth grade work? I don't want to go back to public. I want to be able to finish school at my own pace, so could I do my home schooling at tenth or will that put me back to seventh? And if I were to get my G.E.D , what would I need?Also, WHEN do I apply online for home schooling? Is there a date that I must apply on?ANNNDDD could I do like a summer home school so I can go up a grade? I know im suppose to be in the 10th but Im sure they will put me in the 7th so could I do summer home schooling and they will put me back up to my grade?
Home schooled, 16 GED, financial aid Help!!!!!! PLEASE?
I have been home schooled since the eighth grade and I just finished the tenth grade a week ago. I am 16 and I would like to return to a public high school however in HISD my credits won't transfer. With that being said I don't want to start all over in the ninth grade again. I would like to know if I can get my GED in Houston and go ahead and go to Houston Community College? Will it hinder my chances of transferring to a four year university when I am ready? Am I already to late to apply for financial aid this school year? Will being sixteen affect how much I would receive in financial aid as apposed to being 18?If anyone could help me out I would really appreciate it.Actually in Houston Texas you can take the GED at 16. I plan on home schooling my kids at least for a few years. But I have no idea what a typical day would be or what is a reasonable set of lessons for one day or for the week. My son is 4 and I plan on starting to home school him starting this September. What are some suggestions to a good set of lessons or curriculum for the week? I do have materials and lesson books, but I'm just wanting to know what a typical and reasonable amount of schooling to do in one day
