I have my own landscaping business and i need to buy customers. how does this work?

Question: I have my own landscaping business and i need to buy customers. how does this work?

I live in Fontana, California and I need to "buy " more customers. My friend also has his company and he told me that he bought some of his costumers from a company. I have lost touch with him but does someone know how this works and can you give me some names of companies?

When someone sells there land scape business they price by by equipment and by the clients that goes with it. So lets say I had 2 weed eaters 4 mowers 12 clients. I go to my clients and say I selling the business would you employ them if the take over this operation. Then you price the clients as part of the business. That's pretty much how it works. You don't really buy them . and two if you raise prices or don't do a good a job you can lose them. So really it just part of the sale. only thing you can do is advertise. And do best job you can. take care dave

Sounds like he was using a broker that was getting accounts for him. Why don't you contact some consulting firms in your area and offer your services to them? You could also contact management companies in your area and see if they are unhappy with any of their properties or if any are coming up for bid.

Talk to a competitor and see if they are swamped. They may sell you customers to provide more frequent service and balance demand.

Ask around to see if anyone is going out of business ans offer to buy his customers list from him
